Thank you for using DogLight (the “Extension”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension collects, how it is used, and how it is kept safe. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

This policy affirms our compliance with the Google Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.

1. Data Collection

The Extension is designed to enhance your experience on the game website dogflight.io by tracking local gameplay statistics and performance.

The Extension only runs on dogflight.io. It collects the following types of data locally:

Gameplay Data:
- In-game actions, such as plane maneuvering, firing locations, shot bursts, and kills.
- Game state information, including plane types, team assignments, orientation, and positions.
- Performance metrics, including accuracy, damage, points, and leaderboard ranks (weekly, monthly, and all-time records) paired with timestamps.
User Preferences: Configuration settings chosen within the Extension options.

What We Do NOT Collect: We do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your real name, email address, IP address, location, financial details, or browsing history on any website other than dogflight.io.

2. Use of Collected Data

The data collected by the Extension is used strictly to:

Display real-time and historical gameplay insights, statistics, and timeline graphs.
Persist your settings and preferences across game sessions.

Chrome Web Store Compliance Affirmations:

Data is never sold to third parties.
Data is not transferred or used for purposes unrelated to the Extension’s single purpose (gameplay analytics).
Data is not used for determining creditworthiness or lending purposes.

3. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

Local Storage: All collected data is stored exclusively on your local device using the Chrome browser’s chrome.storage API.
No Remote Transmission: The Extension does not transmit any gameplay data, analytics, or telemetry to external servers or third-party services.
Data Control & Deletion: You retain complete control over your data. You can delete individual game sessions directly within the Extension’s user interface. Removing or uninstalling the Extension will permanently clear all stored data from your device.

Because all data remains strictly inside your local browser storage, no data is ever shared, sold, traded, or rented to any outside parties or service providers.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be reflected by posting the revised policy on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
